Drawing with Charcoal

We’ll start by getting to know the different types of charcoal, cloths, brushes, and erasers by using simple mark-making techniques. We’ll then move to responding to source images of the landscape and beautiful village that surround the gallery.

By the end of the workshop, you’ll have experienced ways to use charcoal subtly and dramatically, to work in sequence to develop ideas, to gather source images to work from and how to fix your drawings in a non-toxic way.
